Position Summary
The purpose of this role is to provide an amazing Accounting and serve as a whip officer to JTM UTILITY STORE which is an indigenous E-commerce company that sells to customers within Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana
Position Summary: Remote Accounting & Performance Analyst – eCommerce
Compensation: Monthly Allowance – ₦25,000 + Data Support – ₦5,000
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Accounting & Performance Analyst to support both the financial and operational functions of our growing eCommerce business. This is a remote and allowance-based role, ideal for someone looking to grow with a lean but ambitious online retail operation.
The successful candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, such as bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting, while also tracking and analysing KPIs across departments including Marketing, Fulfilment, and Customer Support. You’ll help leadership maintain financial discipline and make data-driven decisions as we scale.
This role is remote and requires strong self-management, clear communication, and an interest in the operations of a digital business.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records including ledger entries, expense tracking, and reconciliations
Prepare basic monthly financial summaries (P&L, cash flow reports)
Track key performance indicators across departments
Build and maintain performance dashboards and reports
Collaborate virtually with department heads to monitor goals, budgets, and results
Review and report on sales and operational data from platforms like meta
Support leadership with data insights to inform business strategy
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Monthly allowance of ₦25,000
Monthly data package support of ₦5,000

Ideal Candidate:
Any experience of accounting or finance-related experience (eCommerce exposure is a plus)
Strong spreadsheet and reporting skills (Excel,Google Sheets,sniperCRM)
Comfortable working with numbers, data, and basic dashboards
Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
Excellent virtual communication and time management skills
Fast Learner

Qualifications:

Required:
- Focus on root issues, and fix them, instead of embracing band-aid solutions.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Have experience using Google Drive, Email, Microsoft Office Suite (Words, Excel & PowerPoint), Zoom/Skype & Facebook (in general)
- One-to-many mentality, not just one-to-one (Be-friend automation like scheduling posts)
Preferred:
- At least 1 Year of Experience at a company that has an online or offline presence.
- Experience in an online business environment while dealing with Financial accounting
- Typing 50 - 80+ words per minute
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Any experience of accounting or finance-related experience (eCommerce exposure is a plus)
- Strong spreadsheet and reporting skills (Excel,Google Sheets,sniperCRM)
- Comfortable working with numbers, data, and basic dashboards
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
- CRM Management: Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to keep track of customer interactions, preferences, and purchase history. Leverage this data to personalize interactions and improve data reporting.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on product updates, industry trends, and data analysis techniques. Participate in training sessions to enhance accounting skills.
- Tech Savvy: Be proficient in using virtual communication tools, ecommerce platforms, and other relevant technologies to facilitate seamless interactions with team mates.

The Pay
Payment Structure is Allowance-Based {base salary is N25,000 + Data allowance of N5000 and it’s reviewable in 6 months} with bonuses attached depending on your individual performance and hitting target points.
